About the Event

Wednesday: Arive 5pm, 

                    6 - 7.45pm introductions, self-enquiry for your retreat’s focus, restorative yoga and meditation practice

                    8 pm dinner at local restaurant. (not included in price).

Thursday:     8.15 - 9.15 am breakfast. 

                    10.15 am - 12 pm morning practice of hatha yoga and meditation.

                    1 - 2 pm lunch buffet.

                    2.30 - 4.30 pm  afternoon practice of meditation.

                    4.30 pm tea & cake/ biscuits.

                    5.30 - 7 pm evening practice of restorative yoga and meditation.

                    7.30 pm dinner at local restaurant. (not included in price)

Friday:         8.15 - 9.15 am breakfast, 

                   10 am - 12 pm morning practice of hatha and good-byes.

                   1 pm departure.

Splendour Wellness invites you to attend a two day wellness retreat at Somerton Lodge focussed on personal self-care for substance misuse recovery practitioners, mental health practitioners, yoga teachers and therapists.  

We will discuss various ways that you can reduce stress, burn out and compassion fatigue while nourishing your mind, body and spirit.  You will relax, restore and recover your energy levels and earn continuing professional development (CPD) credits at the same time.

The yoga and meditation sessions will be explorative and reflective.  We will cultivate calm and stillness by exploring letting go of anxiety as a lifestyle, exhaustion as a status symbol and productivity as a value of self-worth.  Our physical practice will consist of coherent breathing, hatha and restorative yoga postures - all of which help to ease the body into a relaxed state, releasing unwanted stress and tension.

BEGINNERS AND ALL LEVELS OF YOGA AND MEDITATION ARE WELCOME

You can work at your own pace in our supportive and non-judgmental environment so don’t worry if you have never practiced before.  We will support you throughout the retreat.
